Step 3
Capsule and color.
Broadway 4 mm or Drury Lane 3 mm
Two capsule sizes on most Bodymics. Drury Lane is the smaller of the two, so it's less visible on the face. Replacing mics in an existing set? Match the capsule you already use so your windscreens and spares still fit.
Beige, brown or black
Pick the color closest to the performer's skin or hair. Audio-Technica users also pick the connector: Pre-2018 (cW-style) or Post-2018 (cH-style).
Complete each mic
What else each actor needs.
A mic alone won't get through tech week. Add one Actor Kit per performer.
Actor Kit
One per performer: belt, windscreens, mic tape, pads, wipes, wig clips and a labeled mic bag.
Strain Relief
$10 per mic. We reinforce the cable before it ships. Add it on the earset or headset page.
Windscreens, 4 mm (Broadway)
For 4 mm Broadway capsules. Swap when caked with makeup or sweat.
Mic Belt
Holds the bodypack transmitter under the costume. Beige or black.

Will it work with my wireless system?
Yes, if you order the version for your transmitter brand. Each Bodymic is wired for one transmitter family. Audio-Technica packs come in two connector types, so pick Pre-2018 or Post-2018 on the product page. If you're unsure, call us with the model printed on your bodypack.
Which boom length should I choose?
4.2" Standard suits most performers. 3.3" XS gives a more proportional fit on smaller faces. 2.6" Micro and 1.6" Ear sit closer to the ear for a more discreet look.
What happens if a mic fails?
ShowCare is included: if a Bodymic fails in its first year, we replace it. For heavy use, add $10 strain relief and we reinforce the cable before it ships.
Can my school pay with a purchase order?
Yes. POs are welcome from U.S. public schools, and you can request a quote for your purchasing office at Stage Gear.
